How would you reduce the UK's carbon emissions? PDF

Ideas abound for the best solution for us to reduce carbon emissions - more renewables, more nuclear, 'clean coal', biofuels or simple energy efficiency. They all have their arguments in favour, but equally have arguments against. The trick is getting the balance right - and looking beyond just energy, but also at the other impacts on our world and our lifestyles.

For those who are interested in seeing what the impacts would be on your house, your city or the countryside of the various options available for achieving the UK's 2050 reduction target, the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have created their very own computer game, my2050, and you can even save the variant you choose to be added to the debate.

 
Green Drupa

It's getting towards that time for looking towards the next Drupa, in 2012 - but for the time being a little look backwards might still be helpful

As anyone who has visited Drupa will know, it is not possible for a single human being to see everything interesting that's there even if they stay for the duration of the show. Staying only a few days means making the very difficult choice between rushing around trying to see as much as you can, or focusing on things that really take your interest and risking missing out on many others that you would also like to see and know more about. A hard choice indeed.
